Video: Down Year Possible for Commercial Hay Production

NORTH MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) -The old saying goes: “make hay while the sun shines”. This year, a colder than normal winter, too much Spring rain, and not enough sunshine may have hay production at a 14 year low, and 20 percent lower than the three year average.

While farmers may have enough forage for their herds, the hay inventory for sale is low at this point.
