Video: District Attorney Tosses His Hat in the Ring for Court of Appeals

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) -A west Alabama district attorney wants to take his experience to the Court of Criminal Appeals.

24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Chris McCool says he’s running for the open seat.

His district covers Lamar, Pickens, and Fayette Counties.

McCool says he will bring more than two decades of practical courtroom experience to the state-wide elected position.

The Gordo native has served as district attorney since 2001.

He will run as a Republican in next year’s state primary election.
