Video: Digger the Groundhog Says Spring is on the Way

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A groundhog in North Mississippi has some good news for those who don’t like winter.

“Digger” the groundhog did not see his shadow Tuesday morning at his home at the Tupelo Buffalo Park.

That means that we can expect an early Spring, but the zookeeper says don’t get mad at Digger, if winter persists.[TAKE SOT]

“We will have to wait and see, he’s just an animal, animals , I mean, he might be right, he might be wrong, if he’s wrong I hope people aren’t mad.”

“Digger” will celebrate his first birthday in March.
