STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI/MSU Athletics) – Mississippi State football will make a school-record sixth consecutive bowl appearance as the Bulldogs face NC State in the 14^th annual Belk Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

Kickoff for the Southeastern Conference-Atlantic Coast Conference matchup is 3:30 p.m. ET (2:30 p.m. CT) live on ESPN and WatchESPN.com. Mississippi State is the designated home team and cowbells will be permitted in Bank of America Stadium.

Tickets are on sale now at HailState.com/tickets or by calling 1-888-GO-DAWGS. Mississippi State students will be able to purchase tickets beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday on HailState.com/tickets. Student tickets will be available online only.

“This is a great opportunity for our team and our fans to cap off the 2015 season at the Belk Bowl in Charlotte for the first time,” said MSU head coach Dan Mullen. “This senior class is the second-winningest in school history and they have been to a bowl game every year. We want to send them out the right way for everything they have done for our program. We look forward to seeing our Bulldog fans take over Charlotte in what will be a fun week.”

Seven-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood will be the headline act at the 2015 Belk Bowl FanFest. Free to the public on gameday, FanFest opens at 10 a.m. with the performance scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

MSU (8-4, 4-4 SEC) is making its 19th overall bowl appearance dating back to 1937. Senior quarterback Dak Prescott leads the Bulldogs into Charlotte in his final game. Prescott has shattered 38 school records and is one of only four players in FBS history to throw for 60 touchdowns and rush for 40 touchdowns.

NC State enters the game after compiling a 7-5 overall record and a 3-5 mark in ACC play.

MSU and NC State are meeting for the first time since the 1995 Peach Bowl, which resulted in a 29-25 Wolfpack win in Atlanta. NC State leads the all-time series, 3-2. The two teams recently scheduled a 2020-21 regular season series. They will meet on Sept. 12, 2020 at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. The Wolfpack return the trip on Sept. 11, 2021 in Davis Wade Stadium.
