VIDEO: Dallas Police Massacre Hits Close to Home

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) –

Thursday night’s frightening events in Dallas hit home for a West Point woman whose son is a Dallas police officer.

Barbara Harris says after she heard the news of the shooting, she immediately began calling and texting her son, Cornelius, who has been on the Dallas force for about a year.

She says it wasn’t until early this morning that he returned the call to let her know he was safe.

“He said just something told me in his spirit just told him not to go to work, so he did not go to work he said, but later on he found out that five of his friends were killed and one he went to school with.” said Harris.
