The terrorist sympathiser assumed he would be joining the military and asked about his training in a message with the FBI.
Dakhalla and Young were arrested at Golden Triangle Regional Airport in Lowndes County on August 8, 2015.
The FBI says he and Young left notes behind explaining they would never return and that Young was the mastermind of the plan.
Young, who is from Vicksburg, is charged with aiding terrorists.
She is being held without bond.
Young is scheduled to be in court June sixth.
A sentencing date has not been set for Dakhlalla.
