Video: Congressman Delivers Firsthand Government Lesson

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Lowndes County students  got An American Government and History lesson from the source. Congressman Alan Nunnelee dropped in on the 8th Grade AP History class at Caledonia Middle School.  The students wrote Nunnelee asking questions about the the government shutdown.  The Congressman decided to deliver his response in person.

“People of America expect us to find a way for us to govern, and shutting down the government does not accomplish anything. So, we’re going to talk about that.”

Nunnelee credits his Junior High History teacher for getting him interested in History and Politics
