VIDEO: Community Educates Residents on Drug Addiction

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI)- The Houston community spent the day educating residents on addiction

A day long Community Addiction Awareness Program took place at the Houston Civic Center and Joe Brigance Park today.

It’s to teach the public about resources, programs, and ways for people to help those dealing with any kind of chemical addiction.

Organizers also educated kids and parents about the dangers of drugs and how to deal with family members with drug problems.

The event kicked off with games, bounce houses, free hotdogs and drinks and wrapped up with local and out of town speakers telling their stories about addiction.
