Video: Columbus School District’s Administrator of the Year

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Columbus principle received the surprise of a lifetime. Billie Smith was named the Columbus School District’s Administrator of the Year. She has been the principle at Fairview Elementary Magnet School since 2008. Smith is a Lowndes County native and had this to say about the announcement:

“I’m completely shocked and caught off-guard. I really, really appreciate it… I accept it on behalf of the faculty and staff here at Fairview.”

Smith attributed the accomplishment to all the hard work of the entire staff at Fairview.
