COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus school board approves a new McGraw-Hill curriculum. The total cost will be about six hundred thousand dollars for textbooks, workbooks computer software and more. Students from Pre-K to high school will be under the new educational program. The system will adapt to meet individual needs. Educators say it’s an important step in the right direction.
” It’s a victory for our children. We’re making a step in the right direction, as Mr. Spears said, to kind of calibrate down to zero. And really build a baseline for our children and provide them with a curriculum that’s going to build their 21st century skills and allow them to be successful in a global economy.”>
The new curriculum could be implemented by late-September.
