COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Summer is heating up so the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library decided to have a little fun in the water today.
Children came out to the enjoy fun in the sun and water this afternoon as a part of the library’s summer reading program. They ran through the water sprinklers, tossed water balloons and played with water guns. Youth Services Coordinator Lindsey Miller says this is a great way to end the summer.
“This is our water fun finale. It’s just the ending of our summer reading programs for this year. We’re really excited about it and we hope to do it next year. It’s just a fun day for the parents and their kids to come out here and enjoy the water together at the library,” says Miller.
This is the first year for the Water Fun day at the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library.
