Video: Columbus High’s Woodard Honored with Player of the Year Ceremony

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A special day for a special student athlete.

Junior Robert Woodard II was recognized by Gatorade today as Mississippi’s Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Woodard was honored with a ceremony in front of friends and family at Columbus High School on Thursday.

Woodard was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Gatorade and won their essay contest which included an additional $10,000 that he donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus.
