Video: Columbus High Welcomes Hoops Season with Purple Madness

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Basketball season is nearly upon us.

Columbus Falcons fans enjoyed the hoops season tipping off with Purple Madness on Monday evening, as they enjoyed the opportunity to see the boys and girls basketball squads for the upcoming season.

The boys team, led by new head coach Gary Griffin and super junior Robert Woodard, are coming off their first State Championship season in school history.

The girls will be strong once again in 2016-17 as the Lady Falcons will build off a State Tournament experience from last season.
