Video: Columbus Group Making Positive Change One Monday at a Time

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)  – They were born out of violence two months ago, but they plan to change a neighborhood.

The all-volunteer group Sports Moms held another Monday in the Park at Sim Scott Park today.

With a little help from Sports Dads, the group offers games, sports and other activities each Monday at Sim Scott.

For Memorial Day, they added food and had a full house into the evening.

They’re planning activities for at parks and community centers as the summer progresses.

The volunteers and parents started organizing after four people were shot at Sim Scott in March.
