Video: Code Red Emergency Alert System Now Available for Noxubee County

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) -Noxubee Country residents have another tool to protect them in case of bad weather. The Emergency Management Agency is implementing their Code Red weather warning system.

The system issues general and emergency related messages to inform residents to take safety precautions.

The service will automatically notify those registered of tornado, flash flood, and severe thunderstorm warnings once those alerts are issued by the National Weather Service.

“As we know, seconds count and we are counting on Code Red to get the information to us so that we can get it to you faster, so you can take shelter for tornados or whatever else might be going on.”
