Columbus, Miss.[WCBI]-The Columbus Lowndes Humane Society hosts an open house at their new facility on Airline Road.

Although they have been opened for about six weeks, the celebration officially allows residents of the county and the Friendly City to visit and see how owners and staff are caring for our four legged friends.

CLHS Board Member Charlotte Hardy says they have come a long way and they now have a facility that the region can be proud of. CLHS cares for, shelters, and finds homes for people wanting to rescue these pets. If you can not find the perfect gift, please remember you can adopt a pet in memory or honor of someone.
