Video: Citywide 125th Birthday Party in Eupora

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) -It was a celebration one hundred and twenty-five years in the making.Eupora celebrated the 125th anniversary of its founding on Thursday with a citywide birthday party.

It was a homecoming for current and former residents. Party-goers were treated to the music of the Eupora Band and a combined choir from the city’s schools.

And what Birthday Party would be complete without a cake? In this case one big enough to feed a city.

“Well, I’m here to see and learn the history of Eupora, and I would like to see it do better here, because I was born and raised here. So, this is an historical moment.

“It’s real special to have these people coe out to this, and I think we have a great crowd here.”
