Video: Church Helps Stock School’s Teacher’s Lounge With Snacks
PLANTERSVILLE, MISS. (WCBI) – A Tupelo church is helping spruce up the teachers lounge at a nearby school.
Cornerstone Church members spent part of their morning, stocking the teacher’s lounge at Plantersville Middle School with snacks.
It is part of an ongoing effort to reach out to neighboring schools and church members say this is one way to show appreciation to teachers.
Cornerstone Church has “adopted” Plantersville schools as part of their local mission projects.
“We are leaving a lot of bundles of love. We have left many snacks and condiments, to encourage our teachers here on campus. We come in and make sure they are feeling loved that they can better connect to this community and we are impacting, we are impacting,” said Karen Salters, of Cornerstone Church.
The church will also provide a new refrigerator, microwave and furniture for the Plantersville teacher’s lounge.
