VIDEO: Car Crash In Lowndes County Leaves One Dead

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – One person is dead following a car accident on Highway 12 in Lowndes County.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol said 41-year-old Larry Welch Jr. of Vernon, Al, died in the accident.

MHP said Welch was traveling in the west bound lane on Highway 12 at Cal-Steens Road when a Honda Accord turned in front of Welch.

The driver of the Honda Accord has been transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital.

MHP is investigating the accident.
