Video: Caledonia High School Transformed into Time Machine for the Day

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) — Flappers from the Roaring 20’s, Peaceniks and Hippies from the 1960’s and 1970’s, American Indians and Word War II soldiers and more filled the gym at Caledonia High School. It was all part of history teacher James Reed’s “decades” projects.

Teams of 11th graders had to pick a decade after the Civil War, research it and put together displays summing up the important social, cultural and historical points of the period. Today, the students and their projects filled the school’s gym. Many of the students were in costume to better depict their era to help other students better understand the history of the period.
