Video: Bride To Be Is Featured On ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ And Overseeing Major Renovation Of Historic Property

NEW ALBANY, MISS. (WCBI) – In less than two weeks, Natalie Bullard will be a newlywed.

“I couldn’t be happier,” she said.

The New Albany woman, along with her family, has been busy making wedding plans, and running their Merle Norman stores.

They began the search for that perfect wedding dress last summer at a runway show one of their suppliers of pageant and prom wear was hosting.

“This dress comes out on this beautiful model, and my husband said, ‘Oh Natalie, there’s your dress, that’s it, it’s beautiful,” Natalie’s mother, Sherri, said.

That same week, Natalie, her mother, other family members and a friend were at Kleinfeld’s in New York City, where a crew from the TLC show “Say Yes to the Dress” was set up and ready.

The episode featuring Natalie aired this past weekend.

“You’re there for a very long time, the show is only 30 minutes, but we were there over six hours. I only tried on four dresses, a lot of people think I tried on like 50 dresses, cause that’s what I do at my store. I actually found my dream dress somewhere else,” Bullard said.

When Natalie returned from her shopping trip, a major renovation was underway on the house she and her fiancee Kyle will call home.

“This is the oldest brick home in Union County, we actually got engaged and bought this home on the same day. He proposed to me right before we walked in the door, with the house and everything, it was a big surprise, bit shock, to start your new married, start with a renovation that really challenged us,” Natalie said.

One year later, work on the historic home is almost complete and Natalie, along with her parents feel a huge sense of accomplishment, along with, relief.

“It’s been a long year, we’re ready to rest and travel,” said her Dad, Duane Bullard.

The big day is June 18th. Natalie promises to post photos of the dress right after vows are exchanged.
