Video: Area Teacher Snags National Grant

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – Some Amory students are getting a little high-tech help in the classroom, thanks to their teacher and a major insurance company.

Ashley Young, a teacher at East Amory Elementary School is one of this year’s recipients of a $2,500.00 grant from Farmers Insurance’s “Thank America’s Teachers” program.

The money is going to provide Chromebook computers for the school’s Special Education students.

Young was one of 60 teachers nationwide to get the grant.
