TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Amory resident Trent Harmon is getting strong support from Northeast Mississippi as he continues surviving cuts on ‘American Idol.’

“He’s doing a wonderful job, representing himself, family, state so well, and he obviously loves his family, obviously loves God and he is tearing it up , and we’re so excited,” said Amory Mayor Brad Blalock.
“Just absolutely, almost like a dream, when I wake up some mornings, I’m like, oh my goodness, Trent’s on American Idol, literally I have to stop and think for a minute, this is really happening,” said Trent’s Mother, Cindy.
Tuesday evening, a pep rally for Harmon will take place at the Amory High School Gym. It all starts at 6: 30 .
