Video: Annual “Stop the Hurt” Conference Convenes in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -The annual “Stop the Hurt” conference brought more than two hundred professionals to Tupelo on Tuesday. They discussed strategies for dealing with issues such as sex trafficking and substance abuse.

Organizers say the event allows professionals an opportunity to share information about sensitive issues.

“It actually brings awareness to the topics and the issues we face and jobs we do as social workers, therapists, educators and law enforcement and so they take this information back and try and use that in order to better help the profession we work in.”

The Conference has been held in Tupelo for more than twenty years.
