Video: Amory Rocketeers Flying High After National Competition

AMORY, Miss and WASHINGTON D.C. — The Amory High School AP Physics Rocket Team is on its way back home after placing in the National Team America Rocketry Challenge last weekend in Virginia. Eight students from the Amory team hit the finals arena after competing against more than 700 teams from across the country. The team placed 1oth in the Team America Rocketry Challenge, and they racked up $3,000.00 in prize money.
Winners of the challenge go on to compete in the International Rocketry Challenge held in the United Kingdom. About 5,000 students from across the country compete each year for the coveted prize.
