Video: Airport Directors From Around Mississippi Land in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Airport directors throughout the state are networking and sharing concerns and learning about new regulations and other issues in Tupelo.

The Mississippi Airport Association is holding its annual meeting at the Bancorpsouth Conference Center. Thirty airports are represented, along with vendors showcasing a variety of products and services for the aviation industry.

Organizers say the annual meeting is valuable for those who oversee airports.

“It gives you a chance, one to meet with all the vendors, the new products, I like it a lot because I get to see a lot of friends I don’t get to see a lot of the year all the different airports, directors throughout the state. You come together and discuss common problems and how other airports are doing things, look at new technology.”

The meeting wraps up Friday. Next year the annual gathering takes place in Starkville.
