Video: Airbus Helicopters Gets Contract for more Lakotas

COLUMBUS, MS(WCBI) – Good news from the nation’s capital for a Lowndes County helicopter maker. The U.S. Army has awarded EADS North America, or Airbus, a 22 point eight million dollar contract modification to buy more Lakota helicopters. Work on the aircraft is expected to be complete by March of next year. Senator Thad Cochran made the announcement today.
The Lakota is used for military missions, disaster response, border protection, and pilot training.
