Video: Afternoon Crash on Highway 82 Sends one to Hospital and Snarls Traffic

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A pick-up is rear ended on Highway 82 and crashes across Frontage Road this afternoon.

State troopers say the driver of an 18-wheeler driver hit the back of a Dodge Ram about 2:20.

The truck, which was hauling a diesel tank, went through two fences before stopping in a field. Some gas did spill.

The driver of the truck, 46 year-old James Pogue of Eupora, was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the big rig was not injured.

A portion of Highway 82 was shut down while crews cleared the scene.

Highway patrolmen continue to investigate the accident
