LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- ” I’ve heard pastors use the altar call of  you never know where you’ll be tomorrow. I never thought God would give me such a powerful true life example of that,”

For the past several months, Pastor Mason Joy grew close to Sean Fowler, Terri and Tyler Tucker. When Monday’s deadly twister hit Louisville, he was devastated to hear that all three of them were gone.

“Tyler is 8, Tyler had the mind of a 20 year old man. He was very wise. Tyler and I had sat in my office multiple times and talked about faith and what it means to be a servant, said Pastor Joy.

Tyler and his parents dedicated hours to his church. But, they never officially became members.

” I used to tease Sean, he confessed to me he had an anxiety problem as Baptist want you to come forward and be recognized publically, so he kept saying “i don’t know if I can do it,” said Pastor Joy.

All of that changed Sunday.

” He came with his parents, sunday morning and he told me that he wanted to make his faith public, that he wanted to accept Christ and that he wanted to be baptised here at East Louisville. So Typler put his faith publically in Jesus on Sunday and he went to be with Jesus Monday,” said Pastor Joy.

Many residents asked Pastor Joy, ‘Why would God do such a thing?’

“I can’t tell people why. Why this Church is completely unscaved and the devastation is right there. I don’t know. But I know God is not a respector of persons. We are all equal to him. Some pray and are spared. Some pray and are taken home,” said Pastor Joy.

Joy also says Tyler and his parents were such loving people and by them giving their lives publically to God, he’s sure they’re in a better place.
