Video: 5 Charged With Capital Murder in Mantachie Shooting

MANTACHIE, Miss. (WCBI) – Bond is denied for the five people charged in a deadly shooting Mantachie.

Tyjuan Metcalf, Tyandre Thomas, Demarco Kelly, Tonisha Johnson, and Kyra McClenton are all charged with capital murder in the shooting death of 27 year old Andre Taylor at his home..

District Attorney John Weddle says the next step is gathering all the evidence collected by the Sheriff’s Department and preparing to present the case to a grand jury.

“At some point in time, and that time will come very quickly, they will meet with us, give us everything they’ve got and we can start having a more active process in the case as we turn it from an investigation to a prosecution.”

The Grand Jury will convene in October.
