Video: 3 Men Arrested For Arson
CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Three people are in jail Friday night charged in what investigators are calling an arson for hire scheme in Clay County.
54 year-old Michael Tribble of Cedar Bluff, 42 year-old Jason Williams of Maben, and 38 year-old Daniel Easley, made court appearances this afternoon in Justice Court.
All three of the men are charged with arson.
Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott says the investigation stems from a Tribble paying to have his house set on fire.
The fire was on Tribble Road in western Clay County.
Scott believes the investigation is just beginning.
“It is an ongoing investigation. We feel like it might be some more structures that’s involved, but right now the investigation is covering 6 counties involving local, state, and federal authorities right now, so we definitely expect more charges, and more arrests before this is over and done with,” says Sheriff Scott.
Bond was set for all three men at $50,000 dollars each, and they all have a September court date.
