Victoria Vivians Was Honored With A Reception In Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI SPORTS) — On Saturday former Hail State Hoops guard Victoria Vivians was honored at the WNBA Draft reception in the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum.

Vivians was selected 8th overall in the 2018 WNBA Draft on Thursday by the Indiana Fever.

All of the past few weeks for Vivians in the Final Four and National Championship leading up to the draft will be a moment she will cherish forever.

“I was ready to come home right after the draft,” said Indiana Fever draftee Victoria Vivians. “I wish my flight was that night, but the time I was up there it was amazing. I’m grateful for the opportunity. A couple of weeks leading up to the draft it was amazing as well being with my teammates in the final four and championship game leading up to now. It’s been pretty good.
