Victim of deadly hit-and-run in Jackson is identified
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Authorities have identified the victim in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Jackson. The Hinds County coroner says 27-year-old Chasmine Leavy was struck and killed around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Londonderry and Northside drives. Jackson police Officer Sam Brown tells news outlets the suspect was driving either a white Chevy Malibu or an Impala. No arrests have been announced.
