Veteran Police Officer Fired In Macon

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – Macon aldermen fire one of the city’s veteran police officers.

Earnest Eichelberger was relieved of his duties after last night’s vote.

Eichelberger is a former state trooper and has previously ran for Noxubee County Sheriff.

Last month town leaders demoted former chief Lucious Mason to patrol officer.

Devine Beck was promoted to chief.
