Valentine’s Day Lovers Quarrel Lead To Stabbing
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An early Valentine’s Day lovers quarrel ends with a husband in the hospital and the wife in jail.
Investigators say Charity Harkins, 28, is in custody and charges are pending.
Lowndes County deputies were called to a home on Highway 69 South about 1 a.m. from a concerned parent, saying their son was being attacked.
A large amount of blood was found on the outside patio of the home, as well as inside the master bedroom and bathroom.
Law enforcement could not find anyone inside the house. Once outside they search the property and heard a voice.
The victim, Barry Ferguson, 54, walked up to deputies.
Investigators say he had a large cut to the lower right abdomen area.
His condition could not be released by hospital officials.
