UPDATE: Bond Set at $200,000 for Shooting Suspect
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Bond has been set at $200,000 for a Starkville teenager charged with murder in the Valentine’s Day shooting at a Lowndes County nightclub.
Lowndes County detectives say Ronagal Outlaw initially fled the Crossroads Lounge on Highway 182 after shooting 23 year-old Tremaine Macon once during a dispute shortly after midnight Thursday.
But Outlaw later returned to the scene and turned himself in. But no weapon has been recovered. Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant says it’s unclear of the caliber of the handgun used to shoot Macon, who died at OCH Regional Medical Center less than an hour after the shooting.
Investigators say they aren’t sure what sparked the dispute but hope to learn more with interviews with witnesses today.
Outlaw remains in the Lowndes County jail.
