Video: UPDATE- Pedestrian Killed In Tupelo Identified

TUPELO, MS (WCBI) – A Starkville woman is dead after being hit by a car this morning in Tupelo.  Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green says  27 year old Marketta Ann Roberts  was killed as she was walking along the Eastbound lane of Interstate 22 near the Old Town Circle Bridge.  Tupelo Police say the driver of the car who struck Roberts remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers as they investigate the death.  No charges against the driver are pending
