Update: Names Released Of Two Men Injured In Montgomery County Crash
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – A Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman gave an update Friday evening to the two-car crash that happened Friday morning on Interstate 55 in Montgomery County.
MHP released the names of the two men injured in the crash and gave details regarding the extent of their injuries.
78-year-old Benny Oberly was airlifted from the crash site. He was thrown from the the FedEx truck he was driving. The spokesman says his injuries are possibly life-threatening.
His truck hit the back of the U-Haul, who’s driver, 24-year-old Micheal Kozlowski, suffered serious injuries. His U-Haul, with a car-haul on the back, flipped over several times.
This happened around 8 a.m. Friday near the 187 mile marker. Both drivers were heading north. Traffic slowed for several hours as crews cleared the scene.
Troopers say they’re still investigating.
