UPDATE: Mississippi State Student Dies In Gun Accident

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-No foul play. That’s what Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department is saying in the shooting death of an Mississippi State student.

Last night 22 year-old Dustin Johnson of Jackson died from an apparent gun shot wound.

Oktibbeha County Sheriff Steve Gladney says the incident occurred early yesterday morning around 1 o’clock near Hickory Grove.

Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt is still awaiting an autopsy report.

Johnson was studying geoscience at Mississippi State.
