Video: Update: Man Recovering After Being Run Over By Train

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man continues to recover in a hospital after being run over by a train.

Columbus police say Bennie Walton, 56, was walking to a store about 8:15 Monday night in the area of 4th Avenue North and Strawberry Street.

Train cars were being assembled and lined up at the rail yard when Walton climbed under the train.

While Walton was under the train, it started to move.

Walton lost his leg.
