UPDATE- Daklallah Pleads Guilty To Federal Terrorism Charges

ABERDEEN, MS (WCBI)  A former MSU student has pleaded guilty he attempted to leave the United States and join the terrorist group ISIS.

Muhammad Dakhlalla agreed to admit guilt to one count of the two count indictment against him.  The Starkville resident was arrested in August 2015 when he tried to board a flight at Golden Triangle Regional Airport.  His plan was to fly to Turkey and then cross over the Syrian border and join the terrorist group.  His girlfriend Jaelyn Young was also arrested at the same time.  She has not entered any plea in the case.  Following today’s hearing Daklallah remained in federal custody pending his sentencing
