Video: UPDATE: Columbus Police Make Second Arrest in Weekend Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI) On September 9th, the Columbus Police Department arrested Quinton Latrance Erby (24yoa) #39 Christopher Drive in Columbus and charged him with Murder in the death of Joshua Richardson (24yoa) and Aggravated Assault in the shooting of Tevin Harris (22yoa) of Columbus.

Erby was arrested on September 6th at approximately 02:01 am after fleeing from a traffic stop conducted by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. A MHP Trooper spotted Erby traveling Westbound on Highway 82 travelling approximately 90mph which was just after the reported shooting at Peach and Cherry Street. Erby initially stopped and then fled in his vehicle.

He later lost control of his vehicle on Highland Circle in Columbus and was arrested. Information obtained through the investigation led Columbus Police investigators back to Erby. Investigators charged Erby with Murder and Aggravated Assault along with Devonte Jones in the shooting of Tevin Harris and murder of Joshua Richardson. Erby’s bond has not been set at this time.
