UPDATE: Bruce Murder Suspects Identified

BRUCE, Miss. (WCBI) – The suspects in the early morning murder in Bruce have been identified.

17-year-old Breanna Westmoreland, of Banner, and 21-year-old JaShon Coleman, of Derma, are in custody in Calhoun County.

Sheriff Greg Pollan tells WCBI that a Bruce police officer was on patrol about 12:30am Thursday when he noticed a car sitting in a store parking lot.

Upon investigating further, he saw the body of an unidentified murder victim sitting in the car with apparent gunshot wounds.

Pollan says the victim worked at a factory nearby and had just gotten off work shortly before he was shot.

Westmoreland is charged with capital murder.

Coleman is charged with capital murder, possession of a stolen firearm and armed robbery.

Bond is expected to be set for the two Friday.

This case remains under investigation.
