Video: UPDATE: Bond Set in Lowndes Co. Slaying Case

LOWNDES CO., Miss. – (WCBI)A Columbus woman is charged in the stabbing death of a Lowndes County man.

Bond for 28-year old Chaddy Mae Brooks is set at $100,000. Brooks is charged with one count of murder, and is being held in the Lowndes County Detention Center.

Lowndes County investigators say it was a domestic dispute that took a violent turn.

Coroner Greg Merchant said 37-year old Daniel Gore, was fatally wounded around 11 a.m Friday.

It happened at his home in the Cypress Park Apartment Complex, which is located on South Lehmberg Rd.

Gore’s body was sent to Jackson for an autopsy.
