Undercover Investigation Leads To Five Drug Arrests In Prentiss County
PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – Five people are under arrest after a drug sting in our area.
The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests Monday, saying the undercover investigation lasted several months.
The five people are from Prentiss County, or neaby: Carla Burcham, Kayla Crain, Cary Eaton, Leland Fields and Brandon Horton.
The charges range from possession to selling. One charge involves a sale near a school. Two of the charges are for a child being present during a sale.
Investigators worked with North Ms Narcotics Unit.
Below is the list of charges.
Leland Tyrell Fields, 24: Possession of Controlled Substance, his bond was set at $5,000.
Cary Shane Eaton, 42: Sale of a Controlled Substance enhanced Sale within 1500 feet of a School, his bond was set at $20,000.
Carla Jane Burcham, 19: Sale of Controlled Substance, Sale of a Counterfeit Substance and Child Abuse allowing a Child to be Present at the time of offense and Possession of Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute, her bond was set at $20,000.
Brandon Cory Horton, 32: Sale of Controlled Substance, his bond was est at $10,000.
Kayla Mae Crain, 27: Sale of Controlled Substance, Sale of Counterfeit Substance, Child Abuse- Allowing a Child to be Present during transaction, her bond was set at $10,000 but MDOC has a hold on her.
