Two Mississippians Taken in NBA Draft
Two Mississippians are drafted last night in the NBA Draft. The Orlando Magic selected former Northeast Lauderdale standout Romero Osby with the 51st overall pick. Osby attended Mississippi State before transferring and playing the end of his college career at Oklahoma.
Former Biloxi guard Isaiah Canaan, who played at Murray State, was taken in the second round by the Houston Rockets with the 34th overall pick.
The Memphis Grizzlies selected three players. shooting guard Jamaal Franklin of San Diego State, power forward Joffrey Lauvergne of France and small forward Janis Timma of Latvia.
