Two Injured In Monroe County Shootings

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Two separate Monroe County shootings leave two men injured and two other men in custody.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says a Sunday shooting on Coontail Road was between a father and son.

Josh Williams, 20, was shot in the leg.

His father, Terry Williams, 58, is being held for questioning.

In the other shooting investigation, Terry Young, 45, was shot in the shoulder.

Cantrell says the gunfire happened Saturday on Strevel Road, near Aberdeen.

Gregory Poss, 52, is being held for questioning.

As of now, no charges have been filed in the investigations.
