Two in custody after car chase in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Two people are in custody Saturday night after a car chase in Starkville.

The chase happened around 6 p.m. after deputies pulled up behind a car that had been reported stolen.

Law enforcement attempted to pull that car over which led to the driver fleeing.

The chase ended on Stark Road after the car crashed between Dollar General and a car wash.

The driver fled on foot into Dollar General where he attempted to change clothes before he was taken into custody.

A passenger was in the stolen vehicle but had been let out before the chase started. They are also in custody.

The incident is still under investigation.
