Two Companies Adding 100 Jobs in Tishomingo

IUKA, Miss. – Gov. Phil Bryant and other state and local officials cut the ribbon today on two new industries in the growing Yellow Creek Industrial Park and Port in Tishomingo County north of Iuka.

Dennen Steel Corp. cut the ribbon today to officially open the company’s new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The project represents a $7.4 million company investment and is creating 50 new jobs.

Dennen Steel, a contract stamping manufacturer of steel products, will purchase large master coils from steel mill producers and process steel slit coil into precision stampings, fabricated metal parts and assemblies at the Tishomingo County location.

“We welcome Dennen Steel as the newest member of Mississippi’s business community,” Bryant said. “The investment and jobs being created by Dennen Steel are further proof that ‘Mississippi Works’, and the company’s decision to locate here will positively impact the community and the state as a whole. The Mississippi Development Authority worked with company and local officials to provide assistance to Tishomingo County for infrastructure improvements at the site of the company’s new facility. The Appalachian Regional Commission and Tennessee Valley Authority also provided assistance to help facilitate the project.

Meanwhile, Contract Fabricators  is locating in the 97,280-square-foot facility formerly occupied by Dynasteel, where today Bryant and company officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The project represents a $1,050,000 company investment and will create 50 new jobs within its first year of operation at the port.

Contract Fabricators, manufacturer of large pressure vessels for oil refineries, power plants, chemical plants and more, also has operations in Holly Springs, Miss., where the company employs 125 workers.

The Mississippi Development Authority supported Contract Fabricators with this project, providing assistance for the purchase of the facility in which Contract Fabricators is located, as well as assistance for the construction of an on-site barge facility.
