Two Charged In Calhoun County Homicide
PITTSBORO, Miss (WCBI) – Two people were officially charged Friday in the shooting death of a Calhoun County man earlier this month.
Frankie Jones, 26, of Pittsboro is charged with first degree murder.
His bond was set at $500,000.
Ashley Hobson, 24, of Calhoun City is charged with accessory after the fact of murder. Her bond was set at $250,000.
Billy Covington’s body was found on the side of County Road 308 on July 11th.
He had been shot multiple times.
Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says Covington, Jones, and Hobson were all in a vehicle.
Covington and Jones started arguing and fighting inside the vehicle. When it stopped, they both got out and started fighting again.
Pollan says at some point, Jones pulled a gun and started shooting.
